The aim of the project was to develop a curriculum that would help the Hungarian language skills and competences for kindergarten and primary school children from mixed marriages. The runtime of the project was August 2016 – June 2018.
Each year there are a number of children enrolled in Hungarian language schools, who come from mixed marriages, but do not speak Hungarian at a sufficient level to that would allow them to progress adequately. The project aimed to help parents to develop their children language skills
Within the project we developed a website that hosted the developed curriculum that would help in improving Hungarian language skills and competences for kindergarten and primary school children from mixed marriages. The website contains theoretical and methodological materials and suggestions for early bilingualism. It also provides a number of skill-building exercises and games, together with suggestions for their implementation.
The project was financed by Pallas Athéné Domus Concordiae Foundation and Pallas Athéné
